UPDATE - Anthony Stokes, the 15-year old boy who was denied a spot on the heart transplant list due to 'noncompliance' has now been added to the list.
Melencia Hamilton, mother of Stokes told ABC News that the doctors may have had a change of heart when they decided to put his son back on the list.
Stokes who has an enlarged heart and was given only six months to live was previously denied a spot on the transplant list because of history of noncompliance.
The ABC News defined noncompliance as an act wherein the patient refuses to follow medical directions specifically taking required medications and showing up to doctor's appointments.
Hamilton told ABC News that she is positive her son would comply with all the rules. She also told sources from ABC News that her son would definitely take his medications because he understands that that's the only way for him to live.
According to the article on ABC News, Hamilton previously thought that her son was removed off the transplant list because of his low grades and troubles with the law.
But she clarified by telling ABC sources that Stokes was only defending his brother who was being bullied at that time.
A spokesperson at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston decided to not provide concrete information to ABC News for Stokes' privacy, but clarified that there is some misinformation circulating at the moment.
