'That 70s Show' star Lisa Robin Kelly passed away Wednesday at the age of 43.
Lisa played the role of Laurie Forman on the Fox television series. Lately she was known to have legal and substance-abuse trouble. "Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years," her agent told TheWrap on Thursday. "I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle."
In June she was arrested for Driving Under the Influence in Burbank, California.
The cause of her untimely death is yet to be revealed. The actress made headlines for her legal troubles more than her acting career. She allegedly assaulted her husband in 2012 and was arrested November the same year in North Carolina. She was then charged with corporal injury on spouse in March but the charges were later dropped. She denied the charges against her and confessed on 'Good Morning America' that she started consuming alcohol following a miscarriage.
"I had lost a baby, and as a result of that, I lost everything, and I was abusing alcohol, which I no longer do," Lisa said. "With 'That '70s Show,' I was guilty of the drinking problem and I ran. And I am not running from this. And I have paid my dues. And if I can make it through this, I can make it through anything."
