Fans of the band Guns N' Roses were definitely thrilled to know that they are doing a slew of reunion concerts this year. However, not everyone is excited about the get together given the band's history.
Lewis Fisher of the Huffington Post is one of those people who thinks that the reunion will be a mistake. He claimed that with years of tarnished relationship among members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, there could be a great possibility that fans will get an awkward performance and stage presence.
"Their relationship has been torn apart too much for it to be the same; the stage presence will just look awkward and shady," he said. "Imagine watching your most beloved band on stage again and they couldn't even batter an eyelid at each other."
"They just want to play the songs the fans want to hear, then leave with everyone's money they splashed out on the gig for," he added. "It'll just come across such a terrible performance that's been jaded by the fact 'Paradise City' is playing."
Fisher also criticized the overpriced Guns N' Roses reunion tickets. He claimed that for the band's April show in Las Vegas, the VIP package costs $2500, and the price doesn't even include a meet and greet with the band. He further argued that the cheapest seats that cost $79.50 are not even worth it.
Despite the discouragement, the band has already announced a new leg in their reunion tour. According to NME, Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, will head to Mexico City's Foro Sol, the band's first reunion gig outside the US.
