A new study found Budweiser as the leading culprit in sending more and more alcohol drinkers to emergency rooms, a source told TIME.
Researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health told TIME that Budweiser is a popular American beer among drinkers who don't make the best decisions.
The brand also holds 15% of the market made up of those who end their nights in the emergency room due to injuries.
The results of the study also showed that another brand was revealed to second Budweiser.
According to TIME, Steel Reserve Malt Liquor came in at a very close second to Budweiser with a whopping 14.7% of the ER market.
The third highest culprit was named Colt 45 followed by Bud Ice, Bud Light and Barton's.
According to a report on TIME, malt beverages are prolific in hospitals because it contains 8.1% alcohol for every serving. Budweiser on the other hand contains only 5% alcohol.
David Jernigan, director of the study told TIME that more research is deemed necessary because their study only included interviews with 105 hospital patients all confined at a single hospital in Baltimore.
But Jernigan stressed this kind of study is possible which was previously denied by the Federal Trade Commission.
Tracy Toomey told NBC News that this study serve as a good news because the data gathered can hopefully lead to insights on how alcohol is marketed. The said study may also prevent recurring injuries from taking place.
