Just a month into the much-publicized One Direction hiatus and already news have confirmed that One Direction has lost one more member. Harry Styles went into Zayn Malik's direction, hiring his own new manager and splitting from Modest Management. Styles, along with the rest of the One Direction members, were managed by Modest Management since they broke into the music scene from "The X Factor."
Daily Mail reported that Harry Styles is now signed up with top American agency CAA management's Jeffrey Azoff as he ventures on his own in the U.S. music scene. Perez Hilton points out the Styles' exit is not tantamount to the end of One Direction."This doesn't necessarily mean One Direction is gone forever, but we don't see why Harry would leave if he was really planning on coming back after the supposed hiatus," Hilton said.
According to Billboard, Modest Management said that they harbor no hard feelings over Harry Styles' departure. "We wish Harry the very best," the management team said. "It has been a real pleasure working with him...Harry is a total gentleman, and we know our good friend Jeffrey Azoff will look after him."
"We look forward to sharing some great wine with them next time we are in L.A," Modest Management further said. Still, the Daily Mail reports that an industry insider said that Styles is not only leaving Modest Management behind but also his bandmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.
"Harry is done with One Direction," the insider said. "He wants to completely disassociate with the band and that includes any professional connection. His new team will be about launching him as a solo superstar by around this time next year so the work is starting now."
According to Sugar Scape, The Sun reports that "We Don't Talk Anymore" Charlie Puth has actually heard Harry Styles' new music. Puth likened Styles to The Beatles singer Paul McCartney. "It was very Paul McCartney-esque. The last time I saw Harry we talked about McCartneyesque chord changes," Puth said.
