Work on "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is proving to be a lot of fun with "Guardians of the Galaxy" cast now getting whipped into shape by "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" director James Gunn. The franchise had initially hit a hurdle with the plan to have the late music legend David Bowie do a cameo role. However, fresh news say that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will have a couple of other cameos coming in.
Geek reported that a source revealed that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will have one strange cameo up its sleeve. This will be Ego the Living Planet, who was a regular planet until it was given consciousness by a being called The Stranger. Thereupon, Ego the Living Planet went through a cycle of trying to devour other planets. At one point, Ego the Living Planet became a foe and then an ally to Thor the God of Thunder.
This where the inclusion of comedian and cameo veteran Steve Agee comes in. According to Cinemablend, Steve Agee may actually be the voice actor for Ego the Living Planet. Or he may be someone else.
Still and all, Agee will definitely be a strong addition to the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" cast. Agee's resume includes appearances in such shows as "The New Girl," "The Sarah Silverman Program" and Comedy Central's "@Midnight."
In the meantime, James Gunn is busy getting his cast into galaxy misfit mode. Collider reports that Gunn shared a few behind the scene photos of the actors hard at work. Most noticeable is Gunn's praise for Dave Bautista (Batista) who plays the role of Mr. Drax the Destroyer. "When someone's screwing up a scene during rehearsals I show them Dave Bautista (Batista) as an example of good acting," Gunn wrote.
UPI reports that Zoe Saldana who plays Gamora also posted her own back-to-work contribution on Twitter. "It's officially 'face and body art day' for the next 5 months. #faceandbodyartday #itsnoteasybeinggreen @Guardians," Saldana wrote.
Peter Quill/Star-Lord Chris Pratt's Instagram photo, which Screen Crush labeled as quite excited, is brimming with enthusiasm over the film. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time," Pratt wrote. "This is not.... bear with me... using online thesaurus..... Hyperbole! This is not hyperbole!" A lot of fans would agree with Pratt on this.
