The "Clash of Clans" gamer universe is growing more and more each day and, in order to satiate the thirst of gamers for updates, Supercell, the developer of "Clash of Clans," have to create new upgrades for the game. Now, Supercell has given the avid gamers of "Clash of Clans" a website, which they can access to look at their status as well as members of their clan.
In a way, this update from Supercell gives "Clash of Clans" player a real-time update of statuses, information and content. The update is an API or "application program interface" and Supercell made this announcement through a "Clash of Clans" forum.
The API is still at its beta stages and is yet to be developed into full extent; as of now, players of "Clash of Clans" can only see the status of their clan mates. The API allows gamers to access their clan mate's location-based rankings and league list with badges.
Supercell also added that the "Clash of Clans" API website will show stats of each player, upgrades, trophy count, attack information and so much more. Also, there are widgets in the API that players can use to track individual players.
Since "Clash of Clans" API is still at its beta stages there are only limited functions it can provide and Supercell has yet to announce their whole plan for it, so expect some more updates in "Clash of Clans." A player can access the API through registering for a developer account, after being verified via email, Supercell well then give the gamer a specific key that is connected to the gamers IP address.
The advantages of API in "Clash of Clans" are the fact that it will be easier for gamers to keep track of their stats and many more as well as their clan members so it removes the mapping out of ranks and statistics on spreadsheets.
