"X-Men: Apocalypse" will definitely be more of a Magento film than any other. However, this instalment of the "X-Men" franchise will not be without noteworthy scenes of the other "X-Men." Quicksilver, played by "American Horror Story" star Evan Peters, by association with Magento, played by Michael Fassbender, will have a bigger role than he did in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Also, besides the build up on the romance between Charles Xavier and Moira McTaggert and between Jean Gray and Scott Summers, Olivia Munn as Psylocke is heating up the excitement for "X-Men: Apocalypse."
Director Bryan Singer revealed to JoBlo that Magento's Erik Lensherr will be taking a very important personal journey in "X-Men: Apocalypse." "One of the biggest challenges, and its very emotional and its somewhat dark and you probably listened to hints of it if you watched any of the scene [Magneto being recruited by Apocalypse], is getting Erik to that place where he would follow," Singer said. "Because Erik is a super villain. He's dropped stadiums on the White House, whatever he does, and to get him to a place where he's ready to go there with this character, with Apocalypse."
"That was one of the biggest challenges and there's a scene Fassbender does with this movie, you always wonder whats going to make the cut, but he did something that we were pulling the Kleenex out in the tent," Singer revealed. "I've never had that happen on the set."
Also Hollywood Life reports that the new "X-Men: Apocalypse" Super Bowl 50 trailer gives a meaty peek at the powers that Psylocke, Magneto, Cyclops, Mystique and Storm will exhibit in the film. The 43-second Super Bowl 50 advertisement gives a foretaste of the X-Men in action. Psylocke slicing a car in half is most noticeably one of the best scenes.
Psylocke will have a few more of what was displayed in Super Bowl 50 as "X-Men: Apocalypse" plays out. This is why Olivia Munn actually had to go through training to be able to do the role. Entertainment Weekly reports that Munn actually sustained injuries while training. "I worked for many months training and I did, like, 6-7 hours a day of sword and taekwondo training, and stunt training and wire training," Munn said. "I did get hurt training. Most of it was self-inflicted."
Definitely not a one of those minutes is wasted on Psylocke, who has been creating a buzz with her fight scenes and stunts in "X-Men: Apocalypse." IGN reported that Munn showed off some of those Psylocke skills on Instagram when the actress challenged "Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds in a swordfight.
