The publisher 2K Sports released a patch for both WWE 2K16 PS4 and PS3 versions. The patch comes to fix several issues and among them the Universe mode problem. Players are also waiting for Xbox 360 and Xbox One patches.
With the release of Future Stars DLC, the game's already vast roster was bolstered by another five grapplers, according to the website Games Radar. The pack contains Los Matadores, Blake & Murphy and Samoa Joe.
Just within hours of release, many gamers on the independent Caws.ws and on 2K16's official forum reported issues, especially with all data in Universe Mode being reset. Unfortunately, the WWE 2K series had had such a major issue a second year in a row.
On 2K's forum, the company's community manager Bryan Vore responded that they are aware of the issue experienced with Universe Mode by some users. After investigating the issue, the developer came to the conclusion that this is happening only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
Many fans were also disappointed that, despite previous rumors, the WWE 2L16 DLC is not featuring AJ Styles. According to Game Spot, the developer 2K Sports explained via its official Twitter account that the reason for this is the fact that the roster for all the DLC was already locked months before the games were released.
So far, the WWE 2K DLC roster consists of the 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase and The Future Stars DLC pack. The second is free for subscribers who already paid $24.99 for the Season Pass and costs $7.99 for the others.
The 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase is priced at $9.99. The DLC allows playable matches including: Alundra Blayze vs. Paige; Rikishi vs. The Rock; "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts; Larry Zbyszko vs. Arn Anderson; Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ric Flair; The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray); The Bushwhackers (Butch Miller and Luke Williams) vs. The Natural Disasters (Typhoon and Earthquake).
