It's finally confirmed that Taylor Swift will be performing at the 2016 Grammy's! Now this ends the speculation whether or not the pop icon will be at this prestigious event.
It can be recalled that a lot of speculation has been brewing right on social media and in cafés. Is Taylor Swift going to perform at the Grammy's? Fans of Swift have been excited at the prospect of seeing their idol, considering that the young performer has been taking a break from her tours and making new music. This left a lot of young people on their seats, holding their breath, hoping that she will not pass up a huge opportunity to be at the Grammy's.
According to Who Say, the speculation started when Andrea, Swift's supportive mother, was in Nashville, attending an event entitled, Band Together 1989. She was there and was said to have mentioned that her daughter was, "preparing for the Grammy's." Now why would Swift prepare for an event, unless she would be performing, right?
Aside from that, commercials were aired by CBS, which stated that one of the performers will be Swift. And, one can rely on the Likes made by Swift herself, when she liked two Tumblr posts. One said that she was performing, and the other one was the CBS commercial.
Now the crux of the matter is, what will she sing? Well, USA Today has the answer. According to it, Swift will be the opening act, and the song is no secret either, it will be from the album 1989, which is an Album of the Year contender.
Aside from Swift, other anticipated performers are Adele, Justin Bieber, Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna and a lot more. With Swift opening the Grammy Awards, followed by all these performers in between, it would definitely be a great music event!
