Kanye West has long been teasing fans about his upcoming album. Previously named "SWISH," Kim Kardashian's husband has finally revealed the record's album name, "The Life of Pablo."
As it turns out, "The Life of Pablo" features ten tracks, according to the handwritten track list West had tweeted on Wednesday. The songs include "Ultra Light Beams," "Father Stretch My Hands (Part 1 and Part 2)," "Freestyle 4," "Famous," "Highlights," "Feedback," "Fade," "FML," "Real Friends," and "Wolves."
It seems as though several songs featured on Kanye's previously teased tracklist haven't been included in the latest album, although they could have easily been retitled.
According to Entertainment Tonight, among those scratched or re-titled songs include "No More Parties In L.A.," "Nina Chop," "30 Hours," and "Waves," which had also been the album's former title.
The album, slated for release on February 11, has gone through several album title changes: from "So Help Me God," West changed it to "SWISH," then to "Waves," before settling for "The Life of Pablo."
No one still knows the Pablo that is being referred to in "The Life of Pablo." Although the first thought that comes to mind would be Pablo Escobar - leading many to speculate if Kanye West is a "Narcos" fan.
However, The Verge posits a very strong argument: the album title might be a reference to the Cubist painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, whom Kanye has compared himself to in the past. Perhaps Picasso was of great inspiration for West's latest album?
In another tweet posted on Wednesday, one day before his "Yeezy Season 3" show and album debut, Kanye wrote, "Please no text me or ask me for anything till Monday."
It is still unclear why Kanye tweeted such a thing, but maybe it's just to keep him from changing the album name again.
