A new face is moving into Stars Hollow and it's Sutton Foster! According to new reports, the "Bunheads" star will be the first cast member outside of the original cast to star in Netflix's revival of "Gilmore Girls."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the news of Foster's new role was announced on the same day Netflix confirmed that original cast members would be reprising their roles.
About a week ago, Netflix announced the news on their Instagram. "From Stars Hallow to Hartford to New Haven to Netflix. Welcome back, girls. An all new season of Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix in 2016," it read.

That's right - Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, Keiko Agena, Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry, Liza Weil, and Yanic Truesdale will be reprising their roles for the four-episode "Gilmore Girls" reboot.
In fact, it was on Thursday when Ventimiglia tweeted a photo of the "Gilmore Girls" script. He wrote, "What a great time to get back on set with some friends. #JessIsBack @warnerbrostv @netflix. MV."

It is still unknown if Jared Padalecki will be appearing on the new show as Dean, but one thing's for sure: Melissa McCarthy won't be playing Sookie, Lorelai's best friend. McCarthy recently revealed that she was not approached to join the show, although she did wish the crew "all the best."
News of the "Gilmore Girls" reboot first broke out last year, but was only confirmed a few weeks ago. E! Online reports that the revival has already started shooting episodes on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California.

Sutton Foster played the role of Michelle, a Las Vegas showgirl teaching at a dance school, in "Bunheads." The show was an ABC Family series by "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino that ran an 18-episode season. Foster currently stars in TV Land's "Younger."
