Socialite Khloe Kardashian and basketball player husband Lamar Odom are separated after his refusal to treat his drug addiction, multiple reports claim.
According to HollywoodLife.com, the couple is not talking divorce at the moment but they are likely to separate permanently. Problems arose when Lamar started having cocaine problem two years ago and Khloe was determined to change his habit, reported TMZ. However, the 29-year-old television realty star could not take any more of the drug addiction problems of the 33-year-old Odom and decided to remove him from their house on August 21.
"The entire family is rallying around Khloe," a source close to the Kardashians told HollywoodLife.com. "They support her, whatever she decides to do. She's totally embarrassed because everyone thinks Lamar has been cheating and that she hasn't been able to give him a baby. But in reality he's been doing drugs and she hasn't wanted to start a family with him while he's like that. She's never been able to tell everyone the truth because she's been protecting him."
TMZ reported that Lamar is cocaine addicted and sources confirmed that he went in to rehab before the 2012-2013 basketball season. The sources also added that he was clean during the season with the Clippers but resumed the habit when it was over.
Khloe and Lamar have not been spotted in public since June. There were no comments about a possible divorce after a tabloid reported that Lamar cheated on Khloe with two women. He also went into rehab in San Diego. Khloe reportedly hired a private investigator to keep an eye on her husband to see that he did not leave the center. However, according to TMZ, Lamar stayed in the rehab center for three days and then left.
