Emily Prentiss will be back to "Criminal Minds" According to reports, actress Paget Brewster will return to the TV series this spring, for an episode.
Since the actress left the show at the end of Season 7, this will be the second time when she would return to "Criminal Minds". Previously, Brewster came back in the year 2014, for the 200th episode.
According to Cinema Blend, executive producer Erica Messer declared earlier this season that she is hoping for Brewster to come back again soon. Messer said that the actress is like family and she is always welcome back. However, it's all a matter of scheduling since Brewster is busy with a new show.
In the future episode Prentiss will call BAU for help when she is tracking at Interpol a serial killer she believes will strike next in America. Since she left the series, her fans have been waiting for the return of favorite character Agent Emily Prentiss. We all wait for her to make her big return later this season.
According to TV Line, the return of the actress to "Criminal Minds" is possible due to an opening in her schedule that allows her to appear in the upcoming season 11 episode. The date when the episode will air is still unknown, but it will happen this spring.
After Jennifer Love Hewitt left because she was real-life pregnant and A.J. Cook left for a real-life and onscreen pregnancy as well, the TV series desperately needed some women. Perhaps this is the reason why the "Criminal Minds" show actually called Brewster. However, because of her filming schedules on the new comedy "Grandfathered", the actress was not available until now.
During the time she stop working on "Criminal Minds", Paget Brewster has been open about her dislike of the CBS management. For this reason her return to the TV network for an episode is big news. It seems that she still thinks of her former colleagues in the series as her TV family.
Other big guest starring names are coming up in "Criminal Minds" in the meantime, including Danny Glover. The actor will appear as Agent Morgan's father in the March 2 episode. "Criminal Minds" long-running drama is scheduled on CBS at 9 p.m. ET, on Wednesdays nights.
