Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have long been plagued by rumors but recent reports claim that the 58-year-old talk show host is currently battling cancer.
"The Ellen DeGeneres" host is reportedly battling cancer, stated Star Magazine in a report from Celeb Dirty Laundry. The daytime talk show host is allegedly ill enough that she can no longer walk on her own.
"She looks terrible, I hear she's down to 98 pounds. There's no denying that something is seriously wrong," an insider said.
DeGeneres is trying to enjoy life as much as she can and has been trying to hide her diagnosis from other people. The publication further noted that DeGeneres' family has a history of breast cancer and cited the possibility that she might have been diagnosed with the same condition.
The publication also stated that DeGeneres' illness, if true, may help determine whether or not her and de Rossi's marriage can withstand this difficult time. The "Scandal" actress spoke highly about her partner in an earlier interview.
"And she's the only person I want to hang out with. Like, she is my best friend and I just want to be with her all the time," de Rossi said.
It seems like DeGeneres is not sick at all with cancer or any other illness for that matter, as E! News recently caught up with the talk show host at the Saint Laurent fashion show in Hollywood.
DeGeneres attended the event together with her wife, de Rossi and the couple shared their plans for Valentine's Day. DeGeneres and de Rossi will be celebrating the event at a wedding.
"It's easy, they did it for us," DeGeneres said.
The couple also revealed that they will not be exchanging gifts for Valentine's Day because they believe they already have everything they need.
"Love and respect - that is all we need," she said. "We just found the right person. It's corny, but she's my soul mate. She's my everything to me and I don't know what I'd do without her."
