Grammy Award-winning pop singer Kelly Clarkson announced her first children's book on Tuesday. The former American Idol winner is now proud to add the job of being an author in her extensive resume.
Clarkson was excited to blast on her Twitter account earlier this week that she is officially a children's book author for "River Rose and the Magical Lullaby." The book is entitled after her daughter's name River Rose Blackstock and it will be available for purchase on October of this year, E! Online reported.
Clarkson would like her fans to know what she has been up to in the middle of her pregnancy that she tweeted with glee saying; "I'm officially a children's book author! River Rose and the Magical Lullaby comes out this October! #NewProject."
The book was inspired of all the traveling that she did along with her daughter and it is her goal to make her remember those. In an interview with the Today show, Clarkson shared how she came up with this book saying, "We were going on trips to the U.K. and Asia and Australia - you know, just all these amazing places that she was too little to remember, basically."
The singer/author continued, "So, I started writing down these little fun stories - of, like, when we went to Australia and she got to hang out with some kangaroos. I thought I'd just write little cute stories for her and put little pictures with it. And that was the initial idea. Those little stories ended up turning into a book for each place we kinda went."
Kelly Clarkson has come a long way from being the first American Idol and winning multiple Grammy's to being a mother of a toddler and another one on the way. But in case fans are wondering if she is still active in the industry, her recent announcement of her work should suffice those inquiries.
