The technology giant, Apple is filming its first ever television series. According to news, it will star one of the co-founders of the now Apple-owned Beats and rap legend, Dr. Dre.
The new TV show started shooting according to The Hollywood Reporter. Multiple sources also said that the 50-year-old will be having six 30-minute episodes, which will be produced by co-executive producer-writer Robert Munic, all in all and on the other hand, each episodes will be as semi-autobiographical that will show how Dre's character deals with different emotions.
The series was reported to be a dark drama called "Vital Signs." Sam Rockwell and Mo McCrae were named to be part of the cast as per Yahoo.
Reports confirmed the show will be available through the company's streaming website, Apple Music. For now, no further information if there's any other way to get the series.
"Vital Signs" is directed by the very own veteran music video director Paul Hunter. It is produced with other veteran producers Aaron Ginsburg and William Green.
Apple tried out new concepts like video on its Apple Music service that started getting good feedbacks. Meanwhile, Apple has no development team nor television studio but in scripted television, this project might indicate the original real investment for the company.
Even though the company is reportedly to be available in collaborating with artists, this is the only scripted original series on tap at Apple. On the other hand, Dre has been very busy with something recently.
He also produced one of 2015 blockbuster, "Straight Outta Compton." The 2015 American biographical drama film grossed internationally about $200 million.
Additionally, Andre Young, who is known to be Dre, released his first studio album last year, "Compton." And as of January, it's sold more than 502,000 copies in the U.S.
