'Blue Bloods' News & Update: Whoopi Goldberg to Appear as a City Council Speaker [Spoilers]

Whoopi Goldberg is going to guest star the return of "Blue Bloods" Season 6 on CBS on Feb. 26. The 60-year-old star will play as the City Council Speaker Regina Thomas, who might bring a big problem along Frank Reagan's way.

According to the synopsis obtained by CarterMatt, the story will go, like "Linda asks Danny and Baez to help her co-worker who is having trouble with her angry ex-husband. Also, Erin must figure out how to handle her former mentor, a judge who has been handing down unfair sentences since the recent death of his wife; and Frank goes head-to-head with an outspoken City Council Speaker (Whoopi Goldberg) who publicly voices her disapproval of the NYPD's 'broken windows' policy."

On this next installment, Linda will be seen asking for helping hands of Danny and Baez as she's facing a problem with her ex-husband. It has been said that he is not satisfied with her but, it haven't said how dangerous he can be.

In another story, Erin will be dealing with a judge who gives unjust justice to a man who loses his wife, Enstarz reported. Hence, this could be the start of a possible romance of the Assistant District Attorney as the guy needs an intervention that may be she's the one who will give.

Meanwhile, with all the twists and turns of the police procedural drama series, fans might have a hard time to follow its storyline as Bridget Moynahan, the star who played Erin, told Phil Star that fans can "expect some craziness."

"When you get the opportunity to have a juicier storyline on certain episodes, you just really dive into it and really try to make the most of it," the 44-year-old actress said. "So, I think trying to go to work to keep it fresh, interesting, alive and new every time is probably the hardest thing."

"Blue Bloods" air every Friday at 10 p.m. on CBS.
