'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, News & Update: Director Nomura Talks Game Development, World Expansion Delaying 'KH3' [Rumors]

Many fans are waiting for the launch of the anticipated game "Kingdom Hearts 3" but, up to now, the release date remains unannounced. Fortunately, director Tetsuya Nomura has finally revealed some details about the upcoming title for gamers who want to learn more about the game.

The development team behind the popular series, Square Enix, revealed in a recent report from Design&Trend that they are focusing on the new worlds in the game. The report said that the developers are prioritizing the creation of new worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3." Square Enix would have to discuss with Disney the reveal timing of those worlds.

Nomura also confirmed that the upcoming game "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature "mostly new" worlds. According to a report in GameInformer, among the new locations in the upcoming title are "Mysterious Tower," "Tangled," "Big Hero 6," "Twilight Town" and "Hercules."

Nomura also clarified the game play, aside from the new worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3." According to a report published by GameRant, it seems that "KH3" will feature combats that are not of the mobile spin-offs but rather similar to that of the mainline games. According to Nomura, players will have access to two main pillars of "Kingdom Hearts" combat and to basic commands like "Magic" and "Attack."

Director Nomura also confirmed suspicions about the ending of Xenahort's story but explained that the franchise will not end when Xenahort's story ends. "Kingdom Hearts" series would go beyond "KH3" since Namura hinted that the game will keep going on as long as he is able to create new game play. He also added that without Disney's efforts the game will not be as enjoyable as it is.

In the "Kingdom Hearts" E3 trailer, fans can notice that Sora will also have access to new platforming abilities like wall jumping and wall running. Sora appears to be a lot more agile but it is not clear yet at this point how much control the player will have over Sora's movements.
