The favorite late 90s video game, "Crash Bandicoot," is now celebrating its 20th anniversary as it was first initially released in 1996. Hence, NECA Toy's director of product development Randy Falk revealed that Sony might bring the epic cool dog to life once again.
"Finally, we've been able to get back in with Sony," he said in an interview with Pixel Dan. "Looking at some of their other titles, I see they're bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool."
According to Latinos Health, he mentioned the revival of the game after saying that they are creating toys for "Uncharted" and "God of War" series. "On the modern gaming front, we're going strong. We've got a lot of cool stuff going on with Sony. So we have Ultimate Kratos from 'God of War III' that's about to hit retail," Falk added.
"We have 'Uncharted 4' Nathan Drake, which comes out in May. And then 'Little Big Planet' is doing really well, so we have some more of those here on display, too," he continued. But, Game Spot added that a representative from the manufacturer of collectibles contradicted what Falk said and explained that it was a "misunderstanding" and they will not make any "Crash Bandicoot" figure.
"It's not the case," the insider said. "Someone has misunderstood a comment he made. Randy saw a faked fan-made image right before he came to the show and said that if the game were coming back, we'd love to do figures."
However, it is not surprising that the platform video game developed by Naughty Dog is making a return. In fact, PlayStation Middle East shared a photo of Crash with a caption, "Most wanted person... where are you Crash?"
To recall, Sony president Andrew House said in 2014 that a "Crash Bandicoot" reboot is possible. He was even questioned if "Spyro the Dragon" will be seen in the future, he simply said that "the possibility is not ruled out."
