Fans were able to let out a sigh of relief when Netflix announced the renewal of "Longmire" for Season 5. As most fans and viewers can recall, the show initially ran for three seasons on A&E before the network ultimately decided to cancel the series.
As Master Herald reported, A&E decided to cancel "Longmire" after three seasons on TV because the viewers of the show are more mature than the network's targeted age range. It was also because of this reason that Netflix decided to pick up the show, as the online streaming giant wanted to attract the said age group to subscribe to the service.
The publication further noted that "Longmire" Season 5 may serve as a series finale for the show. The upcoming season will reportedly serve to tie up loose ends, give more answers to the cliffhanger from Season 4 and hopefully give a good ending for the characters.
One of the things that people are looking forward to in "Longmire" Season 5 is the revelation about the person behind the attack on Walt. Fans are speculating that Walker Browning may be the one behind the attack, but other characters are also being considered.
Meanwhile, Carter Matt recently started a poll on TV romances and "Longmire" Season 5's Walt and Vic were voted as the "Favorite Prospective Couple" next to Lexa and Clarke's "Clexa" from "The 100."
In Season 4, Walt tried to pursue a romance with Dr. Monaghan, but reports claimed that this will not last for long. Fans and viewers are well aware that in Craig Johnson's books, Vic and Walt will end up together, and fans are looking forward to seeing romance bloom between these two characters in "Longmire" Season 5.
