4 Easy Steps How To Potty Train Your Dog

Making your dog poop in one place in the yard makes the rest of the house clean for your whole family. This is one of the top concerns when having a pet dog.

Dogs have different pooping behavior depending on their age, size, weight, health and their change of diet according to WebMD. Training your dog to poop in one place is not that hard.

It is best to train them while they are still puppies, but don't worry, you can still get a high percentage in training your dog even when they are already an adult. You just need patience and right training steps to follow.

First step:

Try to find an area where you think is the best for your dog to do his business. Try to mark the area to make them remember the spot according to Training Cesar's Way. You can use stones to circle around the spot, chicken wires or anything that can make a sort of a material that can make him remember the place.

Second step:

Take your dog on a leash and escort him to the place where he needs to eliminate. Try to give an easy command like "go poop." You can at least do this twice a day to make him familiar of the routine.

Third step:

As advised by Dummies page, clean the area as soon as your dog is done pooping. The dog won't go poop in a place where he has been doing it several times. If the area is clean, the dog will likely poop again in the same spot.

Fourth step:

After two weeks of "leash and escort" routine for pooping, your dog should be familiar. Try a new step by escorting your dog without a leash this time. When you go to the area, make sure he follows by calling his attention and stand in front of the pooping area commanding him to "go poop."

Try to follow the usual hour or time you bring your dog for a poop. If your dog can do this on his own then that means your dog already graduated the potty training.
