Take A Glimpse At Taco Bell's Latest Creation The 'Quesalupa'

Taco Bell is known for its Mexican dishes that never failed to wow customers. The fast food franchise has done it again, as they released the latest addition to their menu last Feb. 7. The new item is in line with the "Super Bowl Sunday" food choices.

Their latest menu was introduced on Taco Bell branches within the United States on Jan. 8. The quesadilla-chulapa dish is made with a fried tortilla shell stuffed with pepper jack cheese, tomato, and more cheese. Simple as it may seem, the dished caught the hearts and the taste buds of foodies around the US.

"In a bold move to promote its online ordering platform at the expense of taking some of the surprise out of its Super Bowl ad, Taco Bell allowed customers to pre-order a mystery item sight unseen," The Motley Fool reported. "Folks agreeing to pay $2.99 for the new menu addition were able to pick it up on Saturday afternoon, and that's when it was revealed that the new item is a Quesalupa."

Quesalupa was Taco Bell's "mystery dish," wherein the fast food chain released a 30-second teaser during Super Bowl 50. The new menu addition kept the public guessing during the teaser and gathered positive press releases. The ad, which highlighted the dish and called it "Bigger than Football," flooded the social media the moment it was released.

As per the Fool website, Taco Bell itself is already doing well into compared to other fast food brands. As per the website it was able to have higher sales statistics than KFC wherein Taco Bell was able to have 4% growth, which is better than the 3% gain at KFC and 1% at Pizza Hut. With its continuous success, the latest menu addition will surely add fire into the fast food chain's success.
