"Silent Hills" collaborators, "The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus and Kojima Productions owner Hideo Kojima, have just ignited expectations throughout the gaming world. Reedus and Kojima's work with director Guillermo Del Toro on "Silent Hills" PT (playable teaser) was phenomenally well-received but was cancelled by publisher Konami. Despite the cancellation of "Silent Hills," fans and Norman Reedus hoped that his trio with Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro would still be realized in a future project.
After Kojima's highly-watched Sony studios world tour with Sony's lead Playstation 4 architect Mark Cerny, Game Rant reports that Kojima posted a recent photo with the "The Walking Dead" star. Conspicuously, the photo's caption indicated that Kojima gave Reedus an update on his new Kojima Productions studio.
While Reedus and Kojima have remained good friends since "Silent Hills," the two may have met for more reason other than social. Reedus may, in fact, appear in Kojima's first project under the new Kojima Productions.
Still, as Destructoid points out, even though Kojima's words are similar to oil poured on flames fans should still try and keep the excitement at bay. "Reunion with Norman Reedus," Kojima posted. "Giving update about my own company."
Just a few days before news broke out that Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro are reuniting for the Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain or DICE Summit this February, Kojima's Twitter account was also seen with a hint of sorts about collaborating with Del Toro. As reported on Parent Herald, Kojima's post showed a photo of the new Kojima Productions logo beside Guillermo Del Toro's sketchbook. "Woke up middle of night and couldn't get back to sleep," Kojima captioned the photo.
Whether the Sony studios tour, the Guillermo Del Toro sketchbook tweet and this recent meet up with "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus are ingredients to a big cook up by the new Konami productions is anyone's guess for the time being.
