'Super Smash Bros 4' DLC Characters & Update: Corrin and Bayonetta Completes the 58 Playable Characters

Finally, the complete list of characters and stages of the video game, "Super Smash Bros. 4," were already unveiled. Nintendo launched a video trailer that showed the seven new characters after the best-selling crossover fighting game was officially released in 2014 on Wii U and 3DS.

According to Christian Today, the latest additions were Corrin from "Fire Emblem Fates" and Umbra Witch Bayonetta from "Sega." They completed the 58 playable characters in the game developed by Sora Ltd. and Bandai Namco Games.

In fact, after the launched of the two DLC characters, Masahiro Sakurai, the "Super Smash Bros." creator himself, released a statement on Famitsu and was translated by Source Gaming. "The last two DLC fighters for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U, Corrin and Bayonetta, are now available," the 45-year-old video game designer said.

"At long last, the development on Smash for 3DS/ Wii U has ended!! To all of the staff who was involved in this project, thank you for all your hard work," he added. "To all who supported and followed the game and its development, thank you so very much. Personally, I'm happy I can finally take an extended vacation."

"I've said this before, but excluding Lucas and Roy, who are returning veterans, every DLC character has unique mechanics and playstyles," the video game director added. "Corrin transforms into a dragon and boasts incredible reach. Bayonetta utilizes special combos, her Bullet Arts, Witch Time, and even speaks in both English and Japanese."

To recall, the first DLC character added in both versions of the game was Mewtwo from "Pokémon" in April 2015. The next was Roy from "Fire Emblem" and Lucas from "Mother 3" in June of the same year, Christian Post added.

Also, the legendary "Street Fighter" icon Ryu from Capcom joined the said characters while the fourth installment of "Super Smash Bros." counted the protagonist of the series' classic moves and famous Focus Attack.

Lastly, "Final Fantasy VII's" Cloud Strife joined-in in December, after Nintendo learned that players wanted him in the game.
