Many fans were heartbroken when they found out about Paul Walker's tragic accident in 2013. Filming for "Furious 7" was already nearing its completion when the accident took place, which called for his brother, Cody, to film his remaining scenes for the movie.
Thanks to CGI, Walker's character as Brian O'Conner was given proper closure in "Furious 7." The final scene for the movie showed Brian saying goodbye to his friend, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and the two driving off to separate paths.
While this may be the last that fans will see of Walker's character in the franchise, NBC Universal vice-chairman Ron Meyer revealed to MSN that Walker will still appear in "Furious 8."
Walker's return in "Fast and Furious 8" however, will not be the way that fans are expecting.
"Paul won't be in it, but he'll be represented in some form or another, but whether his image is in it, I can't tell you yet, but he won't be in the film as a performer, as an actor, the way we did it last time," Meyer announced.
While fans have yet to see how Walker will be "represented" in the upcoming "Fast and Furious" movie, reports claim that Charlize Theron will be playing the villain in "Furious 8," Business Standard reported.
According to the publication, Theron is currently in talks to play the villain who will be facing off against Diesel's character in "Furious 8."
Theron has reportedly worked on a project with "Furious 8" director F. Gary Gray in the movie "The Italian Job."
"Furious 8" is set to premiere in theatres on Apr. 14, 2017.
