The "Bones" drought for fans has ended with Fox confirming that "Bones" Season 11 is happening. The forensic thriller, which stars Emily Deschanel as Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan, "Buffy" actor David Boreanaz as Special Agent Seeley Booth, "Baby, Baby, Baby" actress Michaela Conlin as Angela Montenegro and "Ghost World" actor T.J. Thyne as Dr. Jack Hodgins, hit a bit of uncertainty on its midseason return for Season 11.
FOX co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden took a while in confirming that "Bones Season 11" had been given the green light to continue. According to TV Series Finale, FOX announced that the "Bones" Season 11 midseason premiere is scheduled to air on April 14, 2016, alongside its new offering - "American Grit."
"Bones" Season 11 midseason will open with the episode "The Death in the Defense" where the story fast-tracks to eight weeks after "Bones" Season 11 midseason finale "The Doom In The Boom." Besides finding out how Angela and Hodgins will deal with Hodgins' handicap, fans will also see Bones and Booth investigate the death of a public defender whose previous clients had their own reasons to murder Bones.
The Inquistr, however, reports that Walden stated that "Bones" Season 12 will be the definite end of Seely Booth and Temperance Brennan's story. "This is a conversation [about] continuing the series and announcing it as a final season in the 12th season, or whether we wrap it in the 11th," Walden stated.
What Walden committed to "Bones" series creator Hart Hanson was that Walden will allow Hanson the time to bring "Bones" to an explosive close. This will be Hanson's gift to the show's fans who stayed with the series these many years. "We don't want this show limping to an ending. We want to send it out with style and class and the way it wants to be wrapped up."
