Caitlyn Jenner is looking to capitalize on her fame as she is set to follow her daughters' business ventures in the cosmetics market. Reports say that the former Olympic medalist is now prepping to launch her own beauty collection.
The Daily News reported that the 66-year old reality star, who came out as a transwoman last year, is cooking up her own cosmetics line, which is similar to her daughters' business ventures. Reports surfaced that she filed a trademark application to use her name for beauty products like make-up, make-up remover, fragrances, nail polish, and skin care products.
Caitlyn's possible business ventures came months after her youngest daughter, Kylie Jenner, made a successful launch of Lip Kit, which was sold out within minutes. On the other hand, her daughter Kendall Jenner, a sought-after model, recently released her own eyeshadow palette with cosmetics giant, Estée Lauder.
According to the Daily Mail, Caitlyn has been struggling to get to grips with cosmetics after coming out as transgendered last year. She said that she is turning to her daughters and stepdaughters to seek for advice. "If I walk out the door and don't look at least good and presentable they're gonna use that shot forever."
In another interview with Vanity Fair, Caitlyn pointed out the importance of appearance when she came out as transgendered. "I was always worried - you never wanted to look like a guy in drag, you never wanted to look like a guy in a dress, okay. If you're going to do that, come out, you really have to look the part. You have to look very feminine, you have to be able to, what I call my presentation is extremely important because it puts people at ease. And if you can do that, okay, people are at ease, they're just comfortable being around you."
