Forge, the map editor in "Halo 5," is able to achieve truly impressive things. Fans of "Halo 5" can enjoy recreations of famous places from games and movies, including the podracing track from "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" and "Peach's Castle."
According to GamesRadar, another interesting application takes advantage of a glitch in Forge mode. SplinterBL's "Flapjack Frenzy" lets you weld typically stationary objects onto vehicles. By taking the concept to an extreme, users can turn Warthogs into pancakes and Banshees into spatulas. Until the Flapjack Frenzy custom mode will become an official gametype, you can experience it for yourself by searching for SplinterBL in "Halo 5: Guardians."
The developer 343 Industries is about to release the upcoming "Hammer Storm" DLC, according to CrossMap. The developer has released previously three free DLCs to "Halo 5: Guardians": the "Battle of Shadow and Light", "The Cartographer's Gift" and the "Infinity's Armory." The upcoming "Hammer Storm" will include new weapons, new games modes, a new Arena map, more Reqs, and many other features for character-customization.
Among the new games mode in "Hammer Storm" are included Assault and Grifball. From an interview of Max Grossman with Gamespot about the new design of the upcoming Grifball, we found out that the game mode will have some massive changes. Nokyard has built the first Grifball Court unlike any Grifball court ever seen. The feature will be launching this update alongside the mode.
According to Grossman, Nok also worked with Weapons Designer Daniel Wiksten on trying to improve the damage and impulse blast of the hammer. This collaboration has led to the delicate balance of Gravity Hammer vs. Ball vs. Sword. This is the most exciting Grifball yet, complete with ball throwing, Ground Pound kills and thrusting Grif.
Grossman also presented Assault, the other new mode. According to him, the core rules in Assault game mode are more or less unchanged.
Players must deliver to the enemy the ball that spawns on the center line of the map. Once delivered to the enemy team's goal the ball explodes. The difference now is that the ball will spawn at a unique location when the game starts.
