Highly-anticipated phone gaming app "Pokemon Go" is almost nearing its release and fans cannot wait for it. As a game that started out as an April Fool's joke between two major companies, Niantic and Pokemon Company, the fact that it has become a reality makes "Pokemon Go" a more appealing game. Another reason why so many are excited for the release of "Pokemon Go" is the fact that it will use augmented reality in its gameplay, which will revolutionize the whole phone gaming history.
Many fans have been waiting for Niantic and Pokemon Company to drop the specific release date of "Pokemon Go" especially after Pokemon Company revealed their commercial in the Super Bowl 50 urging Pokemon fans to "Train On." This year will also mark the 20th year Pokemon Company has been in the industry and "Pokemon Go" is just one of their many upcoming projects.
Unlike many games that have been moved year after year with their releases, "Pokemon Go" is sure to have a 2016 release date although the specific date will still be discussed. Other than that, the release of "Pokemon Go" will not be a worldwide happening, instead "Pokemon Go" will be released in "waves" or region after region, which means some countries, will get it earlier than other countries.
It is reported that "Pokemon Go" will be first available in Japan, North America and Europe. After that, it will be released in South America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Also, in Niantic's official website, they have announced that a demo for "Pokemon Go" will be presented to the GDC attendees, confirming the once previous rumors of a GDC beta testing.
It is also highly likely that the specificity of release dates for "Pokemon Go" will also be announced during the GDC or right after the GDC 2016.
