Starbucks To Change Their Loyalty Program To Customers; This Update Will Make You Go To Starbucks Everyday!

Reports about Starbucks changing its reward program for loyal customers started circling on the Internet on Feb. 19. A Twitter account dedicated to all updates about the giant coffee company posted a photo of this "drastic change" actually commences it all.

The photo was uploaded by Starbucks Geek Twitter account showing a hand holding a piece of paper with prints about the new reward system that "My Starbucks" would soon be offering to its members. For those who don't know how the current reward points work -- for every purchase a customer makes, he or she will get a point or a star that would be equivalent to an item also from the store when accumulated.

That's how the old reward system works. But based on the article by the Consumerist, should the tweeted photo was proven legit, it is looking like customers are about to enjoy their frequent visit to the store more with this new loyalty program.

As for the new reward system, it is said to take place on April this year and the company will be offering more ways for customers to enjoy collecting those points. The mechanics on how to earn these star points will change from earning one point per purchase to two points for every dollar spent for any Starbucks drinks and other merchandise.

On that photo, it was also written that there would be other changes to occur on the rewards system and so far, this is the first thing they have updated. Customers could also expect that the "Welcome Level" would be altered and everyone on who just started the program could already benefit from the rewards the Green Level has for their loyal customers.

The company was then reported by Business Wire to hold a conference call on Monday, Feb. 22 in order for them to talk about their loyalty program updates.
