Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed the upcoming Marvel movies "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Infinity War" talked about their participation in the third phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two directors answered a lengthy Question and Answer portion at the IMAX headquarters in Los Angeles.
According to Inquisitr, 42-year-old Anthony elaborated that "Captain America: Civil War" has a touch of humor and darkness that it was considered as a psychological thriller. "Winter Soldier," on the other hand, was a political thriller because of the influenced of S.H.I.E.L.D., which made its way to ABC with "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
The sequel will revolve around the relationships between friends and deciding which side to take in. "They are sort of evolving into a surrogate family for each other. So it's a close group of people being divided," Anthony explained about the troubles the superheroes would be facing.
Moreover, there are swirling rumors in the Marvel universe that "Civil War" is the comedy version of "Winter Soldier." However, they justified that funnier characters are not only limited to the "The Avengers," which also make the said movie entertaining.
"There is a good portion of the movie that's actually much funnier than the Winter Soldier because there are characters in that film that are more funnier who comes from worlds where the tone is more comedic," he said. Meanwhile, there are, too, circulating news that there are 67 roles that will be played in the film.
Alternatively, 45-year-old Joe described that there are indeed a lot of characters and a lot of intersections will be seen in "Civil War." "We're not talking about lead characters, were just talking about but people who make an appearance in the movie. Thanos has a very large agenda. These are big movies."
"Captain America: Civil War" is set to be released on May 6, 2016.
