Jimmie Johnson and Wife Chandra Welcome Second Daughter

NASCAR racer Jimmie Johnson and wife Chandra welcomed their second child Lydia Noriss Johnson.

The baby girl was born at 2:02 am on Friday, Sept. 6, Jimmie's rep announced on his Facebook page. The little one weighs 5 lbs., 10 oz. and is 19 inches long. "Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Chani is doing great and is such a rockstar," the 37-year-old racer tweeted.

The proud father of two girls shared a lovely photo via Instagram of three-year-old daughter Genevieve Marie holding her younger sister.

According to the People magazine, Jimmie might miss events Friday at the Richmond International Raceway track in Virginia and will be back in his car, the Lowe's Chevrolet No. 48, on Saturday night to make a run for his sixth championship in the Sprint Cup Series Federated Auto Parts 400 race.

Jimmie and Chandra knew each other since 2002 and later got married. Jimmie began his racing career in 1980. Three years later he won the 60cc class championship, enduring an injured knee.

In the 2013 Camping World RV Sales 301, Jimmie qualified second, but failed post-qualifying inspection when his car was found to be too low, and started the race in 43 spot , the first time in his career he started dead last.

In the race, Johnson passed seven cars in the first four laps and reached the top 20 by lap 50, while reaching the top 10 by lap 165; Johnson finished sixth.
