Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is a mom again.
The 35-year-old and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. welcomed their second child, a boy, last week.
"Sarah Michelle and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are thrilled to announce that they welcomed a baby son into the world this past week," a rep. confirmed the news to Us Weekly.
The new addition joins three-year-old daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze. Charlotte is reported to be thrilled after meeting her younger brother.
"Mother and baby are doing great," the rep told Us Weekly. "And Charlotte is very excited to be a big sister."
The couple who first met during the shooting of the 1997 movie "Know What You Did Last Summer" started dating in 2000 and tied the knot in 2002. In 2007, as part of their fifth wedding anniversary, Gellar changed her maiden name and legally registered her name as Sarah Michelle Prinze.
The couple confirmed expecting a second child in April.
"They are thrilled that Charlotte [has] a little brother," a source close to the couple told the People magazine earlier. "They love their little girl more than anything in the world and know that love will only multiply."
Gellar, started her acting career as a child actor has won six Teen Choice Awards for her role in the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Apart from that, she won the Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her role in "All My Children."
