Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have never had Maddox,14, Pax,12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 9, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 7, had Jolie not changed her sentiments about children. The "Tomb Raider" star, who was born to actor Jon Voight ("The Wizard") and actress Marcheline Bertrand ("Ironside") and who has one brother - James Haven ("Breaking Dawn"), had a childhood that was not exactly filled with familial joy.
According to Fox News, Jolie's disinterest in children changed in 2000 during a fateful trip to Cambodia while Jolie filmed "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider." "It's strange, I never wanted to have a baby," Jolie recalled. "I never wanted to be pregnant. I never babysat. I never thought of myself as a mother."
While she worked on "Tomb Raider," Jolie was able to spend time with Cambodian children. "It was suddenly very clear to me that my son was in the country, somewhere," Jolie said. "When I first came to Cambodia, it changed me. It changed my perspective. I realized there was so much about history that I had not been taught in school, and so much about life that I needed to understand, and I was very humbled by it."
This was the happy beginning for Jolie, Pitt and their children. Fresh news, however, surfaced that the story may not have a happy ending if Justin Bieber's ex, Selena Gomez has anything to do with it.
Gossip Cop quotes a report that Jolie and Pitt's marriage is rocky because Jolie is jealous over "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer. Pitt and Gomez co-starred in "The Big Short," which also starred Christian Bale ("Jungle Book: Origins"), Steve Carrell ("Battle Of The Sexes") and Ryan Gosling ("The Nice Guys").
However, Gossip Cop reports that the Jolie and Pitt divorce allegations by a source, with Jolie said to already be consulting a divorce attorney, are unfounded. The alleged involvement between Selena Gomez and Brad Pitt was nothing more than a friendly encounter at an after-party for the Golden Globes.
