Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg may be a big billionaire, but that doesn't mean that he is exempted from the woes of being a father. Now that he has a baby daughter called Max, he admitted that in an unconventional way, he used Mathematics to help care for her.
Zuckerberg admitted that he's worried about his baby getting rashes in the bath, so he is trying to develop a formula to make sure she doesn't. Speaking in front of the crowd at the Mobile World Congress, he said, "I tried to figure out the maximum frequency I can bathe [Max] at. I figured out we could give her a bath every other day before she got a rash, so we're kind of stuck at that."
However, that is about all he spoke of regarding his personal life. Going back to "connecting the world," Zuckerberg shared his vision that soon, technology will change childhood as parents -- such use virtual reality to share their children's milestones with relatives living in different parts of the world.
He went on to describe how generations have changed their ways of recording milestones such as baby's first steps: his mother's first steps where recorded with pen and paper, his sister's with a camera. These amazing technological leap is just the beginning of progress that next-generation parents can get onboard with: virtual reality.
The young billionaire shared, "I hope to capture the whole scene with a 360 degree camera. This means that even if family or parents aren't there, they will be able to feel as if they are in the scene. That is going to be profound."
Using math to calculate bathing baby Max and virtual reality sharing on the side, Mark Zuckerberg is really just an another dad. His favorite parenting tip involves diapers. Specifically, he noted that in changing, one has to slide the new diaper underneath. "That saved me a lot of time and wasted clothing."
