MWC 2016 News & Update: LG G5 First Look [Video]

The LG G5 was officially introduced at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona on Feb. 21. The latest flagship offered a different kind of innovation, which was quite far compared to its predecessors, G3 and G4.

According to Indian Express, LG G5 presents a 5.3 inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display with 2560 x 1440 resolutions and 554 ppi. It is powered by the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor running in Android 6.0 Marshmallow with 4GB RAM and 32 GB storage, which is expandable with microSD slot up to 2 TB.

And as the rumors said, the South Korean multinational electronics company's crown jewel has a dual-camera setup on the back with 16-megapixel rear camera while the front camera is eight-megapixel. The second camera, on the other hand, has 135-degree lens that can take wide angled shots.

It, too, comes with 2800 mAh removable battery that can be easily swapped with its Slide-out feature. LG G5 is 149.4 x 73.9 x 7.7mm thick and has a USB Type-C for fast charging.

Moreover, its volume controls are now moved on the side to leave room on the power button with built-in fingerprint scanner at the back side. Its IPS LCD panel has an Always-on feature that just use 0.8 percent of the battery life, Pocket-Lint reported.

LG G5 also offers a number of accessories that can improve the use of the smartphone with its advanced technology removable bottom. It can be equipped with LG Cam Pro that can give its users a different kind of camera experience.

It can add up additional camera features once fixed and it can even expand the battery to 4000mAh for all-day shooting. It can also come with LG Hi-Fi Pro, which is built in collaboration with B&O Play.

Users are now allowed to listen to for a better quality audio with its 32-bit DAC and amp. Meanwhile, the price and release date of LG G5 is not yet announced, but it might be soon available in "key markets," like Korea, USA and some parts of Europe in April.

LG G5 is available in silver, titan, gold and pink colors.
