MWC 2016 News & Update: Lenovo Unveils Budget Windows 10 Convertible Notebook

At the Mobile World Congress, Lenovo announced several hybrid notebooks geared to the mid-ranged market.

According to Tech Times, the first in the company's list of Windows 10 convertible laptops is the 11-inch YOGA 710. The device will only weigh around 2.3 pounds or 1.04 kilograms. The laptop will feature a Core m5 processor. The YOGA 710 offers consumers 4 modes: stand for presentations, laptop for typing, tablet for browsing and tent for video consumption.

The other 710 model will come with much higher specs and 14 inches display. The notebook will be powered by a 6th Gen Core i7 processor and will come with as much as a 256 GB SSD. An "innovative" hinge antenna will boost Wi-Fi signal by up to 20 percent, according to Lenovo Newsroom.

Both models of YOGA 710 from Lenovo will come equipped with an FHD display with 1080p resolution. The fully charged battery will provide up to eight hours of use of both models. A Nvidia GPU upgrade option will be available as an option. The YOGA 710 at 11-inch will be priced at $499 while the 14-inch will cost $799. They will be available on the market in May 2016.

For North America, the YOGA 510 or FLEX 4 will be out ahead of the 710. Lenovo announced their availability starting April 2016. YOGA 510 will also come in two variants: one with a 14-inch screen and one with a 15-inch screen. The YOGA 510 14-inch will weigh 3.85 pounds or 1.75 kilograms and the 510 15-inch will weigh 4.6 pounds or 2.08 kilograms.

Both models will feature 6th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and the option of upgrading to an AMD Radeon R7 M460 2 GB GFX graphics processor. According to Lenovo, the battery battery life for the 510 will be around eight and half hours. Prices will start at $599 for the YOGA 510 14-inch and at $699 for the YOGA 510 15-inch.

The high-tech company also announced a 10-inch 2-in-1 detachable tablet called MIIX 310. The tablet will feature 10-hour battery life, according to Lenovo.
