World’s Most Pampered Dogs: Royal Corgis’ Dinner Served On Butler’s Silver Platters

Queen Elizabeth II's royal corgis and dorgis are creating a buzz on the web recently. Not just because they are cute and adorable but because of how they are treated like royalty as revealed by Dr. Roger Mugford, the royal animal psychologist and behavioral therapist, himself.

"At feeding times, each dog had an individually designed menu, including an array of homeopathic and herbal remedies," Dr. Roger Mugford said in a statement for the special edition of "Town & Country" magazine to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday on April 21. "Their food was served by a butler in an eclectic collection of battered silver and porcelain dishes."

The world's most spoiled fur balls were also trained to eat their meals and treats in strict order of seniority, as stated by Zee News. They would often sit in a semi-circle in front of the Queen and each pooch patiently waits for his turn as the Queen gives them food one by one.

Over the years, the Queen had owned almost 30 dogs since 1944 where she had her first corgi, Susan. As reported by Express, her first dog was her 18th birthday present which was given to her by her father, George VI, and mother, Queen Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, the Queen now owns four dogs, her two corgis, Willow and Holly and her two dorgis, Vulcan and Candy. Her beloved dogs love her so much. They always follow her around from Buckingham Palace down to Windsor Castle.

No wonder why she loves hanging out around them, too. To her, these precious dogs are more than just pets -- obviously treating them like her stress relievers and friends.

"When she's talking about her dogs or her horses you see a completely different side of her: she relaxes," Dr. Mugford shared. "Dogs are great levelers, and they're not influenced by social status, which must be a great relief to her."
