"We're going to the Underworld, so I don't expect much good stuff is going to happen," he teased.
Maguire, however, did not exactly reveal whether or not his character will survive the Underworld and if his character will make it out alive after "OUAT" Season 5.
"There are obstacles everywhere - a lot of bad people from the past are coming back and they are not too happy with our heroes," Maguire shared. "It's going to get dark, it's going to be scary, and there will be surprises."
The publication also noted that Operation Light Swan has been replaced by a new mission titled "Operation Firebird." This may have something to do with "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 Episode 20, which is titled "Firebird."
According to Inquisitr, the cast recently filmed this episode and set photos seemingly hint on a woman struggling with her life. The publication reported that Jennifer Morrison can be seen in one of the photos next to a woman who appears to be dying.
The publication further noted that this woman is a bail bonds woman who came from from Emma's past. As most fans and viewers can recall, Emma was once a bail bondsperson, and the show will soon explore this part of her past.
"Once Upon a Time" Season 5 returns on Mar. 6 on ABC.
