'Extra' host Mario Lopez and wife Courtney Lopez welcomed a baby boy, Dominic Mazza, on September 9.
The 39-year-old host shared the delightful news on Twitter. "It's a boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he tweeted. "Please welcome Dominic Lopez to the world. Couldn't be happier... Courtney and baby are doing just fine."
The baby was born through C-section and weighed around 7lbs., 2 oz. Dominic is named after his grandfather and will be nicknamed Nico. The latest member of the family will be younger brother to Gia Francesca, the couple's elder daughter, who will be turning three this Wednesday.
The couple announced about the second pregnancy in February. They went traditional and did not want to know the baby's sex before birth. "She (Gia) wants to know if it's a boy or a girl," the couple said. "But we don't know because we're waiting to find out. That's kind of tough sometimes, we just don't know!"
"Gia kind of understands that there is a baby in my belly," Courtney said after the announcement of pregnancy. "She also told me our dog Julio has a baby in his belly - so who knows!"
Mario and Courtney began dating in 2008, although they knew each since 2006. They got engaged and married within a year.
Back in 2011, in an interview with HollywoodLife, Mario said they wanted to have more children. "Gia is already starting to speak, she's saying 'Mama, Dada'. It's incredible. I am so in love with her. I can't wait to have more!" he said.
