Actress Emily Blunt is expecting her first child with husband John Kransinski.
"The Devil Wears Prada" star is reportedly said be "excited" about the news. "They both want kids, it's one of the reasons they got a bigger place, in a neighborhood that you can raise a family," a source told Us Weekly. "They both couldn't be more excited."
The couple, who got married in 2010 in a grand ceremony in Italy, shifted to a bigger apartment to start a family.
The 33-year-old actress' desire of wanting children is not new. Last year in an interview with 'Manhattan' magazine she revealed that as both she and her husband belonged to large families they would soon start to plan for a baby. "We want to have children; I just don't know when yet," she said. "I'm just not sure about the timing of all of that. We're both from big families, so I think it's something we want."
However, John said that he got a peek-a-boo at fatherhood because of his friend Matt Damon. During the writing of 'The Promised Land,' he recalled his experience of being surrounded with Matt's children as the two actors worked together. "We actually wrote with children climbing all over him, and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done," he said.
Emily was previously in a relationship with the Canadian singer Michael Buble. They began dating in 2005 and moved to a Vancouver home. They broke up in 2008 after being together for three years.
