Oftentimes, monthly menstrual cramps are so painful that it hinders most women to be productive in their daily activities. But recently, a new medicinal marijuana vaginal suppository was released which could help ease their suffering.
The newly released suppository was created by Foria, a California-based company, just by the end of last month. It is now available on the market for $44, as stated by Iowa State Daily.
But because the government still doesn't accept marijuana to be used for medicinal purposes, the marijuana suppository is still not been clinically tested yet. But the company assures people their products are already been tested at their company's labs which are mostly located in the western region of the U.S.
The Foria Relief is composed of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the chemical in marijuana that is responsible for producing a psychological high and cannabidiol (CBD) which are effective to relax muscles. The "cocoa butter-based capsule" is sold in four servings and is used like that of a tampon.
The marijuana capsule takes effect as soon as the suppository is inserted. The receptors located in the pelvic region are activated once the chemicals, THC and CBD, have been released in the body. Because of that, users experience a drop in the inflammation, pain or cramping which is caused by their menstrual cycle.
The company assures their customers by using their product the person's menstrual cramps will effectively go away without them getting high. The capsule will take effect within 15 to 30 minutes of inserting in the body and will usually last for a few hours, as reported by Norcal.
The marijuana suppository is presently available in California alone where people can buy them from dispensaries. For people who want to try the product located outside California, the product is also available online where buyers only have to show an evidence or recommendation from their doctors.
