Child Porn Case: Deonte Carraway Could Face Life in Prison

Deonte Carraway, former choir director and school aide, is now facing federal child pornography charges after he allegedly made videos of children performing sexual acts, prosecutors announced Tuesday, Feb. 23. The pornographic videos involved students with age ranging from nine to 11 years old.

Rod Rosenstein, the United States Attorney, said Carraway was charged with eight federal child pornography charges which carry a life sentence. As reported by wUSA, he has also been accused with "one count each of child sex abuse, second-degree sex offense, attempted second-degree sex offense, third-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault."

The pornographic videos were filmed by Carraway from different locations: Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School in Glenarden, Md., several homes, at a pool, a church and a community center. There he even engaged in the children's sexual acts and directed how the children should perform the act.

"How I get the videos is the kids would send them in the chat," Carraway wrote in a statement with accordance to the court documents. "I would hide them but I really do care for the children," he added.

The diligence of one family member led to the discovery of the crime. Within 24 hours after the report has been filed, Carraway was in custody.

The suspect also admitted to the investigators that he's responsible for the making of the videos and that he was luring the kids to do the act. He said, "I know it was wrong. I'm a bad person. I'm no child of God for doing this."

Prosecutors say that up to date, there are already over 40 child pornographic videos that were discovered. Also, as posted by Fox News, the FBI agents are still searching for other victims, so if anyone has information regarding the crime please call them at 1-800-CALL-FBI or 1-800-225-5324.
