Nicole Kidman was struck down on a sidewalk outside the Carlyle Hotel in uptown Manhattan after a bizarre collision with a paparazzo on a bicycle, according to Yahoo! OMG.
The Oscar-winning actress was seen in several photos showcasing the incident. An eyewitness tells US Weekly that the Paperboy actress had just come out of the Calvin Klein show downtown in Tribeca and took a car to the Carlyle on the Upper East Side.
When she emerged from her car to go inside the hotel, photographer Carl Wu, in hot pursuit to get a shot of the superstar, came down the sidewalk on his bicycle going about 20 miles per hour. Losing control of his bike, Wu crashed right into Kidman who fell on impact.
Helped up by a bodyguard and her publicist, Kidman was heard yelling "Oh, my god!" and "Ow, ow." "She looked hurt, but there wasn't any blood," the observer says. "She put her shoes back on and ran into the Carlyle." Click here to see the photo.
Kidman is expected to press charges against Wu, who was served with a ticket and later arrived at a local police station. "His brakes on his bike completely gave out and he lost control," the witness explains.
Nicole is married to country crooner Keith Urban and they have two children. Prior to her marriage with Urban, Kidman was first in an 11-year relationship with Tom Cruise. They also have two children.
