Nike will cash in on Kobe Bryant one more time before the Los Angeles Lakers player retires this summer. Nike has been designing signature Kobe Bryant sneakers for some years now and will reportedly be putting Kobe's signature Nike sneakers on a retro special in March and April.
Bryant began playing professional basketball with the NBA fresh out of high school in 1996. Kobe Bryant was plucked from the vines so to speak by the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant stuck with the Lakers all the way through his professional career. After 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant is shelving his basketball shoes and reitiring.
According to Hot New Hip Hop Kobe Bryant's signature Nike sneakers including the Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4, which is considered an unofficial part of Kobe's signature Nike sneakers, will go on retro offer beginning March 1. The media outlet points out that the signature Nike sneakers will begin with white sneakers turning darker as the Nike retro offer progresses.
The unofficial list of Nike sneakers release on the Kobe Bryant special will put the final signature pair on sale by April 13. The March releases will reportedly include the Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 FTB (White/White-White) on March 1, Nike Zoom Kobe 1 FTB (Sail/Sail) on March 19, Nike Zoom Kobe 2 FTB (Light Bone/Light Bone) on March 19, Nike Zoom Kobe 3 FTB (Matte Silver/Matte Silver) on March 19 and Nike Zoom Kobe 4 FTB (Dust/Dust) on March 19.
The reported April releases are the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 FTB (Tumbled Grey/Tumbled Grey) on April 3, Nike Zoom Kobe 6 FTB (River Rock/River Rock) on April 5, Nike Zoom Kobe 7 FTB (Blue Fox/Blue Fox) on April 6, Nike Kobe 8 FTB (Dark Raisin/Dark Raisin) on April 8, Nike Kobe 9 Elite FTB (Anthracite/Anthracite) on April 10, Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low FTB (Dark Obsidian/Dark Obsidian) on April 11 and Nike Kobe 11 Elite Low FTB (Black/Black) on April 13. Whether or not the retro offer by Nike will have an extension is unconfirmed.
Fox 6 Now reports that Kobe Bryant has been sharing a few gems to NBA hopefuls and fans from his own experience as an NBA professional and Lakers legend. "I never allowed anyone to tell me what I was capable of accomplishing and I never let anybody tell me that I can't do - right?" Kobe said. "I went after it. I put all my eggs in one basket and hopefully they have that same mentality."
"If you want to accomplish something or do something that a lot of people think is difficult to accomplish you have to put all your eggs in one basket and there's no compromise with that - and I hope that this younger generation of players understands that," Kobe Bryant shared.
