Matt Damon is finally backed to reprise his role as Jason Bourne as the fifth installment of the Bourne series, which officially titled "Jason Bourne," is already in the works. The 45-year-old star teased the awaiting fans as he revealed a little spoiler about the movie.
"It's part of the first three [movies], it's not a whole new chapter," Matt Damon said in an interview. "It feels like the conclusion, even though we're not saying it's the conclusion, it feels like the conclusion of my identity journey. It goes deeper than Ultimatum, basically."
The actor also added that he had fun working with director Paul Greengrass on his previous projects and collaborating with him once again would be comfortable. "I'm just reminded every day why I like working with him so much, with the way he attacks every problem," he explained.
"He's just so smart. I love working with him. I'm going to do as many movies as I can with him before they pack us away to the old folks home." Meanwhile, Matt Damon would be joined by Julia Stiles, who will also reprise her role as Nicky Parsons, Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander and Vincent Cassel.
To recall, the official "Jason Bourne's" first trailer was unveiled at the Super Bowl 50. Fans got more excited seeing the amnesiac CIA agent protagonist turned berserk.
Matt Damon got famous as Jason Bourne in 2002's "The Bourne Identity" followed by "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum." He was, then, replaced by Jeremy Renner in the fourth installment, "The Bourne Legacy."
But, there were swirling rumors that "The Avengers" star will, too, return as the government operative Aaron Cross and a crossover featuring his character and Matt Damon's might happen. "Jason Bourne" was about to be released on July 29, 2016.
