NBA player LeBron James married his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson Saturday at a private ceremony in San Diego, California.
The couple exchanged vows in front of 200 guests and the wedding celebration continued for three days, reported the Associated Press. The guests included teammate Dwyande Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union. Rapper Jay Z and wife Beyonce were also among the guests. Other people included Miami Heat owner Micky Arison, Coach Erik Spoelstra and Chris Bosh.
The 28-year-old Miami Heat star has two children with 27-year-old Savannah. According to the reports LeBron proposed to Savannah on midnight January 1, 2012 at Miami Beach.
Beyonce performed at the high-security wedding. She played "Crazy in Love" during reception.
According to the Associated Press the guests were escorted to wedding area under the cover of tents. News channels footage showed umbrellas being used to protect the identity of the guests. Details of the marriage have not been released yet. Also no photos of the wedding were tweeted either by the guests or LeBron and Savannah. It is reported that cell phones were restricted in the wedding.
Last year, Savnnah told AP that she was both excited and nervous about the wedding. But, LeBron maintained a general tone about the wedding saying that he will only look after "that Savannah gets whatever she wants on her day, the wedding day she always dreamed of."
