Model Levi Johnston and Ex-fiancee Bristol Palin Claim They Are Now Co-Parenting Son Tripp

Model Levi Johnston won the joint-custody battle for his son Tripp with ex-fiancee Bristol Palin. Both parents have announced that they will now be co-parenting their 7-year-old son.

E! reported that after seven years of battling for a shared custody of his kid and spending close to $100,000 for the legal proceedings, the 25-year-old father can now be a dad to Tripp. No specific details were revealed about the decision on the custody battle but Johnston claimed that he owes Palin "some back child support."

In a reaction to Johnston's announcement, Palin posted a photo of her with son Tripp and her 2-month-old daughter with former Marine Dakota Meyer, Sailor Grace on her Instagram page. She highlighted how much her kids mean to her.

"These babies are my world and I will always be doing what is best for them. Every child deserves two loving parents, so I will continue to encourage that no matter what," Palin said in the photo caption. I have never, and will never, keep them from having a positive relationship with their fathers," she added.

The 25-year-old mom also noted that she did no lose any custody case as his son will spend time with her just as much as he did before. "He is happy, healthy, and knows both of his parents love him," Palin shared.

According to her lawyer John Tiemessen, both parents won in the legal issue since they can now c-parent their child. "Parents 'win' when they can have a meaningful co-parenting relationship," the lawyer told People.

He also noted that Tripp is the true winner in the case since both his mom and dad have expressed willingness to support him as he grow up. Tiemessen also commented that the couple has grown on how they handled parenting responsibilities for the past years.

"Although there were periods of time with sporadic contact while Levi matured, for several years, Bristol and Levi have shared legal custody; Bristol has primary custody with Levi enjoying liberal visitation rights," the legal counsel claimed.
