The foster family of several of the Turpin children have now been sentenced on child abuse charges.
In 2018, six of the 13 Turpin siblings were placed under the care of foster parents Marcelino and Rosa Olguin after they were rescued from the "House of Horrors" owned by their parents. The six siblings, however, filed lawsuits four years later after they were only sexually, physically, and emotionally abused and neglected further under the care of their foster parents.
Last Friday, a judge sentenced Marcelino, the foster father, to seven years in state prison. His wife, Rosa, and their daughter, Lennys, were each given a sentence of four years on probation.
All three pleaded guilty to charges of child endangerment and false imprisonment. Marcelino had additional charges of three counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14.
"These children were placed in a position of vulnerability after surviving intense trauma, only to be further exploited by someone who was entrusted with their care," Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin said after the sentencing. "We are committed to holding accountable those who prey on innocent children.

Turpin Children Abused by Parents
The 13 Turpin siblings, who were aged 2 to 29 at the time of their rescue, endured horrific abuse at the hands of their parents, David and Louise. The children were chained to their beds, denied food, and deprived of basic necessities such as education and hygiene. Some had also been imprisoned, beaten, and strangled by their parents, per People.
The siblings were rescued on Jan. 14, 2018, after then-17-year-old Jordan Turpin escaped the house and called local authorities. Police officers who arrived at the house found three siblings chained to their beds.
David and Louise were immediately arrested and charged with 12 counts of torture, 12 counts of false imprisonment, seven counts of abuse of a dependent adult, and six counts of child abuse. They were sentenced to life in prison.
Foster Care Abuse
After their rescue, six siblings were placed with the Olguin family where they were only exposed to even more abuse. The Olguins hit the siblings with belts and sandals, struck their heads, and pulled their hair. Marcelino was also accused of fondling the siblings' buttocks and breasts, pulling a minor on top of him, and sexually touching the children over 50 times.
Furthermore, the children were confined to their rooms and forced to eat their own vomit.
